The mission of Ferndale Youth Assistance is to strengthen youth and families and prevent and reduce delinquency, neglect and abuse through volunteer involvement.

Ferndale Youth Assistance offers free, voluntary and confidential counseling all year long to Ferndale School District families (including the cities of Ferndale, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and Royal Oak Twp.) We take referrals from parents, teachers, police or anyone concerned about a child's welfare.

Mentors PLUS – People Listening, Understanding and Sharing. This program pairs a trained adult volunteer with a young person in a one-on-one basis to provide adult companionship and guidance to a young person in need of a positive role model. We need more adult volunteers to match with the many children we have on a waiting list. Please call soon!
